31 Mar Molly + Zeb | Birmingham Wedding at Oven Bird

Wow, I can’t believe the first quarter of 2018 is coming to a close already and tomorrow is April 1st! Time flies right? We’ve got a stellar lineup of Spring weddings on the way and I’ve been so involved  implementing ideas and plans for those that I run out of time to share the gorgeous events we’ve just produced. So today I’m rectifying that and sharing Molly and Zeb’s beautiful wedding and celebration that took place in January.

I truly enjoyed working on this wedding along side of Molly and Zeb. Molly is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and her consideration of others was something that stood out to me consistently throughout our planning together. Both Molly and Zeb have strong family ties and have developed a beautiful relationship over many years together. This was evident to me when I had the pleasure of putting together a video slideshow of images throughout their dating years. I found myself smiling often while looking at those photos and seeing how they matured over the years. They also have a love of dogs like me (shocker that we gravitated to each other, I know) and they even have two dachshunds… a particular fondness of mine. I think you’ll love the little nod to their pups that we included in the celebration.

Wedding day was a bit on the drizzly side, but at least we were blessed with mild January temperatures and no downpours… thank goodness! The ceremony took place at the always gorgeous and impressive Canterbury United Methodist Church and the celebration afterwards was held at Zeb’s family restaurant, Oven Bird. I cannot say enough good things about the food and service the amazing folks at Oven Bird put forth that night. This was a large guest list for a not so big venue and the plan they put together that night to accommodate was well thought out. The culinary experience that guests were treated to was beautifully presented and so unique but that was no surprise given the expertise of the chefs there. And to be able to watch the preparation and plating of the menu up close and personal only added to the unique experience.

There were so many things that I loved about this wedding but a few of my favorites were Molly’s gorgeous, yet simple silhouette, gown by Anne Barge from The White Room and the custom-made feather guest book pens and groomsmen boutonnieres hand-tied by Zeb’s father. Everything was beautifully photographed by the dynamic husband and wife duo… Wesley and Emma of W+E Photographie. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have.
