06 Oct Artrella & Quan | Ross Bridge Wedding

From my first meeting with Artrella, I knew I was really going to enjoy helping her plan a very beautiful and stylish wedding day. Artrella’s sense of fashion was always very evident every time we met… I always loved seeing what she would be sporting at each of our meetings. And, it wasn’t hard to see where she got her styling abilities from. Her mom, Diane, is also very fashionable. In fact, when we talked about what the mother of the bride should wear, Diane, told me she wanted something spectacular… no typical silk or taffeta gown would do. That’s her pictured below walking the aisle in a yummy platinum over-the-shoulder chiffon number.

One thing about the day that I will always remember is the weather. Artrella watched the weather forecast every day during the 10 day forecast with growing anxiety. Diane and I talked a couple of times during wedding week about various last-minute to-do’s but the one thing she told me most was how much Artrella was stressing over the possibility of rain. Every day the percentage went up and down and even my anxiety level was spiking and dropping. I can’t help it, I love all my couples and always want the best scenario on wedding day. Unfortunately it looked as though Plan B (indoors) would have to be. The ban of rain on the radar that morning extended from the top to bottom of the state and just didn’t seem to be moving at all. We actually setup the ceremony in one of the ballrooms but asked the staff at Ross Bridge when was the latest we could call if for outside. It all turned out well, when the rain broke, we were able to setup the ceremony outside on the terrace as planned. After the ceremony, we were all given a gift too… the skies were painted with the most beautiful pink and purple skyscape.

The other thing I will always remember about this wedding is the heartfelt emotional ceremony. So many people had waited a very long time for this union to happen and it was very evident from the rehearsal through the end of the reception just how happy people were to see this day. No one was happier than Quan though. Watching him, watching Artrella walk down the aisle to him was simply perfect. It is my favorite part of the wedding day! Then witnessing them both speak the vows they had prepared for each other and the kiss at the end… it was very emotional to see. The crowning touch… the ceremony music selections, especially the recessional tune. I love Beyonce’s “Halo” but hearing it begin right when Artrella and Quan were introduced as man and wife and then watching them recess down the aisle together… let’s just say it makes me smile and think of them every time it comes on the radio.

Hope you enjoy looking through all the loveliness of this beautiful couple’s wedding day. Congratulations Artrella and Quan… love you both!
