02 Mar Bachelorette Party – Some Different Ideas!
The bachelorette party doesn’t have to be some big expensive getaway that your friends have to go get a title loan on their car to attend. Skip the big trip to Vegas or South Beach and take some of these ideas to create a unique experience for your BFFs.
For this post, I reference local connections (for the Birmingham area, that is), but with a little investigation, you can find resources like these anywhere. Oh, and don’t forget to ask your photographer and videographer to come along for the adventure… talk about capturing your memories… Priceless!
Rock-Climbing… create memories while building your biceps together.
Knitting Party… there are great classes for beginners that may get you all hooked!
Culinary Skills… everyone could use them, so get everyone together for a cooking class with Chef Bob!
Giddy up… for a group trail ride.
See one of your favorite comedians and laugh until your sides are splitting at the Comedy Club.
Get your pedal on with a scenic bike ride.
One word… Shopping!
Paddle your day away… canoe or kayak down one of Alabama’s beautiful rivers.
Is an Arcade Adventure more your speed? This one-stop locale offers go-karts, miniature golf, and batting cages. You might even get the guys to go along on this trip for a co-ed bash.
DIY bouquets! Take a flower arranging class from one of my friends (Ricky Whitley Bridaleventsflorist, Carol Riley of Lillies, or Mandy Majerik of Hot House Designs). Just think of the spectacular take aways!
You and the girls get your groove on with some dance lessons, try learning some Cajun Steps, shake your hips with some Belly Dancing, or go for it with some aerobic dancing at Dance Trance. You may even come away with a group number to show off at your reception. Ever heard of Rock the Reception?
There’s always the tried and true outings… spa days, gloss and glam makeovers (check out some of my friends… Laura Eason Artistry and One Fine Day Artistry), karaoke night, painting or pottery parties, and one of my fav’s… wine tastings!
Have a slumber party complete with cute pj’s and slippers. You can have it at someone’s home or get an awesome suite at a luxury hotel. Rent all your favorite wedding movies (The Wedding Planner… my fav, Wedding Crashers, Bride Wars, the list goes on and on) and don’t forget the popcorn!
Of course, you don’t have to choose just one. Pick several of these and make a fun-filled weekend out of it. Have any fun adventures you and your gal pals have shared? Do tell!
