13 Feb Guest Accommodations – SpringHill Suites

So this past week, I accepted an invitation from Chris Nelson, director of sales for SpringHill Suites Marriott (formerly Hyatt Place) to come tour the property with him. This hotel is located at 2024 Fourth Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama. Wow… I must say… I was very impressed with the hotel and all the amenities they offer to couples and their wedding guests!

The guest rooms (doubles and kings) all include separate sitting areas with large sectional sofas. They have beautiful bedding and 42 inch flat screen televisions that come with free on-demand movies. Then there’s the bigger suites that are perfect for the bride and her maids to get ready in and/or wedding night accommodations for the newlyweds.

This property has lots of extras to boast about… a 1200 square foot meeting room that can easily be set up for a rehearsal dinner, free shuttle service to and from the wedding, girls night out packages, and a delightful dessert and bottle of Champagne for a couple’s honeymoon night. They also have plans to make some changes to the existing sunroom and adjoining patio area to offer an additional and stylish event space. I loved everything Chis was telling me about the plans for the new space, and I can’t wait to see this project complete!
