14 Jun Tammy + Hunter | Linden, Alabama Wedding

Tammy and Hunter knew they wanted to be married somewhere special, so they chose Hunter’s family farm in Linden, Alabama. The setup for their wedding needed to be very family-oriented and it was important to both of them to include their children in the ceremony. Tammy’s two sons were part of the groomsmen and the third bridesmaid was their soon-to-be adopted daughter whose mother, and very good friend of Tammy’s, had recently passed away. The family’s sand unity during the ceremony under a large oak tree was very special to witness.

Afterwards, guests were asked to join Tammy and Hunter over by the pool for cocktails and then later to the formal seated dinner setup under the home’s carport… yes, I said carport! Floral designer, Ricky Whitley, and I did an amazing job transforming the carport into an elegant dining room… if I do say so myself!

The evening ended with sparklers to send the couple off on their honeymoon. And can I say, who wouldn’t want to take off in a car like Hunter’s? I wanted to ask him if his license plate represented the famous “Hey Day” at Auburn University each year where everyone goes out of their way for one day to say “hey” to everyone, but I didn’t notice it until they were pulling away.

A few things of note… Hunter’s mom is an amazing artist and her special touches were everywhere. The house was full of beautiful paintings she had done over the years, the trees down by their fire pit all had faces on them and the barn had an awesome horse mural on it. She even painted their guest tree (sans leaves of course) and it was the exact tree they were married under.

I loved everything about this wedding, and this family, and am so honored to have been a part of creating their beautiful day! Huge thank you’s go out to Gretchen B Photography for these fantastic photos… the last one, I will forever hold in my mind!
