03 Aug Wedding Photos – Creating the Perfect Shot List!

Most brides have read or received advice from others about creating a “shot list” for their photographer for their wedding day, but today I have some additional advice to pass along from my friend, Terry Bruno of Fotowerks Photography. Recently, when Terry and I were preparing for a wedding day and going over the schedule, she pulled out the shot list the bride had provided to her. Not only was there a full listing of individual photos the bride wanted, but also some sample photos of the style and types of photos she wanted.

I asked Terry if this is something the bride did on her own. She told me… “No, it’s something we ask them to do in order to really provide a complete and accurate portrait of their day.” Terry went on to say they schedule a pre-wedding meeting at their studio to go over those sample photos to discuss what the bride really likes and dislikes about each photo. For instance, what do they really like about a particular photo and are there things they would like to change such as for it to be in black and white over color or vice versa. Terry also said this really makes it easy on her and her staff knowing ahead of time the exact photos they are aiming to capture.

Here’s just a few beautiful images captured by the Fotowerks team…
