25 Oct Do Not Send the Invite
This week’s #tuesdaytip involves knowing when not to sent a wedding invitation. When it comes to invitation etiquette, there are a good many rules you need to follow. One rule (also known as a warning) you should heed is this… situation – after receiving your save the date, a guest tells you that they will not be able to attend your wedding… correct reaction – leave them off your invitation list. You already know they will not make it, so by not sending, you are saving an invitation, calligraphy charge and postage. And since it is known that when a guest receives a wedding invitation they are obligated to purchase and send a gift (a whole other etiquette post there), sending out that invite will only make you appear to be gift greedy. So three words… don’t do it!
Happy planning!
