21 Oct Dallas & Caleb | Engagement Photos
Today I’m sharing these truly fantastic engagement photos of Dallas and Caleb. Kelli and Daniel of Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography are pure geniuses behind their lenses! I absolutely love the creativity they used taking this sweet couple all around Moss Rock Preserve in Hoover, Alabama for their photos. And being the dog lovers that Kelli and Daniel are, they easily handled incorporating Dallas and Caleb’s pups, Cooper and Lincoln, into a few photos. Here’s the post over on their blog with more beautiful images of the couple.
Their Story: Dallas and Caleb met while attending Hoover High School. They dated some then but then reconnected after their freshmen year at college. This was not an easy feat mind you… Caleb was going to school at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and Dallas… she was attending the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!). I ask all my couples to tell me about themselves, how they met, etc. and then I like to know what do they think makes their relationship work or why it is special. For Dallas and Caleb, this was easy to answer… it was their commitment to one another. They are very proud of their “long distance” and committed relationship throughout their college years. They also both love reading, sports and having any reason to be outside and active.
The Proposal: After asking her parents permission to marry their daughter, Caleb began making his plans. Because he knows how much Dallas loves books, Caleb knew his proposal just had to incorporate them some how. He arranged for dinner on the terrace of one of her favorite restaurants and then carefully went about hiding the ring in a most appropriate place… inside a book of course! He told me he underestimated the time and effort it would take to carve the center of the book he chose to the perfect dimensions to conceal the box. But his efforts paid off… Dallas absolutely loved it and beams when you ask her about the proposal!
We are in the middle of the planning stages for this wedding right now, but it is shaping up to be a very beautiful and heartfelt affair that will be held on May 9, 2015 at Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort. So happy for this adorable couple and the wedding day I get to be a part of!
